Who we are
Kyn Technology Inc. (“Kyn”, “we”, “us”) is a Delaware corporation and the controller of the information described on this page. You can reach us about anything here at privacy@kynrewards.com, or by post:

What this site is
Kyn has not launched. This website describes a product we are building and lets you put your name down for it. There are no accounts, no logins, no payments and no connected cards here — the only thing you can do is ask to be told when we open. This policy covers exactly that. When the product launches it will have its own, much longer, privacy policy, and we will not quietly stretch this one to cover it.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site, and only the fields that form asks for. Depending on which form you use, that is some combination of:
- your name
- your email address
- your ZIP code, so we know which cohort you fall into
- your creator handle and platform, if you are signing up as a creator
- your organization, if you are contacting us as press
- your niche, an invite code, and how you heard about us
- any note you choose to write us
Our servers also keep ordinary technical logs — IP address, browser user-agent, the time of the request — for a short period. Every web server does this, it is how a service stays secure and debuggable, and we do not join those logs to the form data or use them to build a profile of you.
Session analytics
This site runs Microsoft Clarity. It records how people move through the page — what you click, how far you scroll, where you give up — and plays that back to us as a session replay, alongside heatmaps of the page. We use it for exactly one thing: finding the parts of this page that are confusing, and fixing them.
To do that it sets two first-party cookies, _clck and _clsk, so a visit holds together from one page to the next, and it collects the ordinary technical signals — pages viewed, device and browser, referring site, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address.
It does not capture anything you type. Clarity masks the contents of every input box and every dropdown, in all of its modes, and that is not a setting we can switch off. Your name, email, ZIP code and any note you write are hidden before the recording leaves your browser and never reach Microsoft. What we see in a replay is a form being filled in, not what was filled into it.
Microsoft handles this as our service provider under its own privacy statement, keeps recordings for 30 days, and states that it does not sell Clarity data.
Who we do not run it on
If your browser reports a European timezone, or sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load Clarity at all. No cookie is set, no recording is made, and no request is sent to Microsoft — so nothing tells them you were here.
Kyn is a United States product and this is a United States waitlist, so there is nothing we need to learn from measuring visitors in Europe. The check reads the timezone your browser already reports; it asks no location service, stores nothing, and involves no one else. It is not perfect — a traveller or a VPN can land on the wrong side of it — so it is written to fail the safe way: if we cannot tell where you are, we do not measure you.
Everywhere else, you can still switch it off. Blocking cookies for this site works and nothing here breaks without them, and you can opt out of Microsoft’s analytics across every site that uses it at optout.aboutads.info.
What we do not do
Beyond the one analytics tool above, this site carries no trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no remarketing tag and no data broker.
We do not track you across other websites, we do not build advertising profiles, and we have never sold or shared personal information for money or for cross-context behavioural advertising — and we will not start without telling you on this page first.
Why we use it
To reply to you, to tell you when Kyn opens in your area, and to work out where demand is so we know which cohort to open next. That is the whole list. If you are in the UK or the EEA, our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submitted the form, and our legitimate interest in operating and planning a service you asked to hear about.
Who else sees it
We keep the list of people we hand your information to as short as we can:
- Resend, our email provider, which delivers the notification of your signup to us and stores your email address so we can write to you when we launch.
- Microsoft, which runs Clarity and therefore receives the session and page data described above — never the contents of a form.
- Our website host and the platform running the signup endpoint, which necessarily process the request as it passes through them.
- Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, if we ever receive a valid legal demand.
That is the complete list. No data brokers, no advertising networks, no partners, no affiliates.
How long we keep it
Until Kyn launches and we have contacted you about it, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If the product never launches, we delete the list. Clarity recordings are on a separate and much shorter clock: Microsoft holds them for 30 days, apart from a small sample kept up to nine months.
To come off the list, email privacy@kynrewards.com and we will remove you. Right now that is the only way, because joining the waitlist does not subscribe you to anything yet: the form notifies us, and nothing is sent to you. Once we do start sending, every email will carry an unsubscribe link.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal, which no longer has an agreed meaning and which this site does not act on separately. The signal that does work here is Global Privacy Control. We check it before anything loads: a browser sending GPC gets no analytics at all, rather than analytics that promise to behave. Either way we do not track visitors across other websites.
Your choices
Wherever you live, and whether or not a particular privacy law happens to apply to a company our size, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you
- correct it, if it is wrong
- delete it
- send you a copy in a portable format
- stop emailing you
Email privacy@kynrewards.com and we will do it. We will not charge you, we will not ask why, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or the EEA you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and the signup endpoint accepts submissions only from our own domain. Access to the signup list is limited to the people at Kyn who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
Age
Kyn is an eighteen-and-over product, and this site is not directed to anyone younger. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and the analytics described above are not run on an audience we expect to include minors. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.
Where your information is held
In the United States. If you are writing to us from outside the US, your information will be transferred there.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and move the date at the top of it. Material changes will be sent to the email address you gave us rather than left here to be discovered.
